A New Medical Science.
Osteopathy as a science was founded in America in the Late 19th century by Dr Andrew Taylor Still who based this new medical science on a thorough understanding of the anatomy of the body and the principal that the body functioned as an integrated unit.
Increasing Recognition.
Osteopathy is gaining increasing recognition and these days Osteopaths work alongside conventional medical doctors to provide care for a wide variety of structural health problems, primarily including back, neck and joint pain, as well as increasing prominence in the field of sports medicine.
